IBEW NECA TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

 

The IBEW-NECA Technical Institute (IN-TECH) is the apprenticeship and education center for the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 134. Founded in 1945 by the IBEW and Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) of Chicago,  IN-TECH,  originally called the Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Trust,  has graduated thousands of apprentice electricians since its inception.

    The IBEW-NECA Technical Institute, located in south suburban Alsip, Illinois and the West Side Technical Institute in Chicago, Illinois are accessible via public transportation. IN-TECH is serviced by PACE Bus No. 384, which stops at Ridgeland at 115th Street. Westside Technical Institute is serviced by the CTA Western Avenue Bus No. 49, which intersects with the following CTA routes:
